Privacy Policy

Product/Service: context-stats · Effective date: [proof needed — publication date]

Summary: The context-stats tool runs on your computer and sends nothing to the project's maintainers. It writes session state to files in your home directory and reads them back for graphs and reports. This website loads no analytics, trackers, or third-party resources.

1. Information we collect

None. The maintainers receive no data from the tool or this website. On your machine, the tool writes per-session state files (token counts, model ID, cost, project directory, timing) to ~/.claude/statusline/, and the report command aggregates those local state files. If you set show_account=true, it reads your Claude account email from .claude.json to display it; that setting is off by default.

2. How we use it

The local files exist only to draw the status line, graphs, session exports, and usage reports on your machine.

3. Cookies and analytics

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The tool includes no telemetry.

4. Sharing and processors

The tool shares nothing. When show_pr is on (the default) and the gh CLI is installed, the tool asks gh for the current branch's pull-request number; gh contacts GitHub with your own GitHub credentials under GitHub's terms. This site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may log visits under GitHub's privacy statement.

5. Retention

Local state files rotate at 10,000 lines, keeping the most recent 5,000. Delete ~/.claude/statusline/ at any time to remove them.

6. Your choices

Turn off the PR lookup with show_pr=false and the account display with show_account=false in ~/.claude/statusline.conf.

7. Children
