GitHub listed eleven projects this Monday morning. Six had been featured in the past week without a material change since, so today's edition has four first-time picks and one repeat with a sourced change. Coolify leads as a mature self-hosted alternative to paid deployment platforms, with a fresh v4.5.0 release. JetBrains' ThinkRail puts each agent task in its own git worktree, Claude SEO packages an SEO audit as a Claude Code plugin, and TradingAgents is a research framework for multi-agent market analysis. VoiceStudio returns because its new beta phone apps now run models on the device. Curation order reflects practical interest, not GitHub rank. Trending is not a release date or an endorsement.
Picks are listed in curation order, not GitHub’s rank; each card shows the rank GitHub displayed when the page was checked. Stars measure attention, not security, quality or fitness for use, and no project here was installed or run. “Stars today” is GitHub’s own displayed figure for its daily window, not an audited rolling 24-hour count.
What it does. An open-source, self-hostable platform in the style of Heroku, Netlify or Vercel: it deploys applications, databases and more than 360 one-click services onto your own servers over SSH, with Git push deploys, pull-request previews, automatic HTTPS, backups and a dashboard, API, CLI and MCP interface.
Caveat. Self-hosting moves the operations work to you: you patch, secure and back up the servers, and the new server patching is labelled beta. The quick start pipes a remote install script into bash on the server, so read the script first. A dashboard that holds SSH access to all your servers is a high-value target; protect it accordingly. The hosted Coolify Cloud is a paid service. We did not install or test it.

What it does. A JetBrains incubator project: a lightweight agentic IDE built around the open-source pi coding agent, with Monaco editor tabs, terminals, a file tree, review comments and chats, where each task runs in its own git worktree workspace and the agent keeps project knowledge in a graph of SPEC.md files.
Caveat. Early software: an incubator project at 0.x with frequent nightly builds. It sends basic usage events and error reports tied to a random installation ID, and extra sharing only if you enable it. Desktop builds need Apple Silicon on macOS (no Intel build) or glibc 2.38+ on Linux, Windows and Linux artifacts are unsigned, and the CLI installs through a piped install script. Model costs are your provider's. We did not install or test it.

What it does. A Claude Code plugin for SEO audits: 26 sub-skills and 19 agents check technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, content quality, Schema.org markup, local and e-commerce SEO and how likely AI search tools are to cite a page, then produce a prioritized action plan as Markdown, PDF or JSON.
Caveat. The audit time, results and the 10.8K Search Console clicks shown in the README are the author's claims. It installs its own Python environment and a headless Chromium and uses your Claude Code plan's usage; some extensions need paid third-party accounts. Its own commits move installer verification to a future v2.6.0. Audit only sites you own or are permitted to test. We did not install or test it.

What it does. A research framework that models a trading firm with LLM agents: fundamentals, sentiment, news and technical analysts report in parallel, bullish and bearish researchers debate, and a trader, risk team and portfolio manager reach a decision; it includes a CLI, a Python package, backtesting and many model providers.
Caveat. The README states it is designed for research and is not financial, investment or trading advice; LLM output is non-deterministic and any backtest results are the authors'. Runs call paid model APIs and market-data vendors that need their own keys, and the interactive CLI checks for updates once a day unless disabled. Do not connect it to real money without your own validation. We did not install or test it.

What it does. A local, open-source alternative to ElevenLabs: a desktop app and server for voice cloning, voice design, text-to-speech, video dubbing, dictation, transcription and audiobook creation using locally run models.
Caveat. These are beta prereleases: Android needs a sideloaded APK, the iPhone build is unsigned for sideloading or limited to TestFlight, and the Windows desktop installers are unsigned. Offline phone use still means downloading models first. Clone voices only with consent; model and voice rights are separate from the AGPL-3.0 app license. Quality and language-count claims are the maintainer's. We did not install or test it.

“1,592 stars today” as displayed for GitHub’s daily window; not an audited rolling 24-hour count
Every repository GitHub listed, in GitHub’s order, with the figures it displayed when the page was checked (): 5 picked today, 6 covered in an earlier digest, 0 not covered. For projects covered before, growth compares the total stars at our first pick with today’s displayed total.
Python · 1,592 stars today · 87,416 stars in total
VoiceStudio is the open-source, fully-local ElevenLabs alternative — voice cloning, voice design, video dubbing, dictation, transcription & audiobook creation in 646 languages.
Picked today — Pick 5 above; first covered 15 Oct 2026 at 67,106 stars; now 87,416: +20,310 stars (+30.3%) in 11 days, about 1,846 a day. Also picked 19 Oct 2026.
An open-source, self-hostable PaaS alternative to Vercel, Heroku & Netlify that lets you easily deploy static sites, databases, full-stack applications and 360+ one-click services on your own servers.
Universal SEO skill for Claude Code. 26 sub-skills + 19 sub-agents covering technical SEO, E-E-A-T, schema, GEO/AEO, agent readiness (Lighthouse Agentic Browsing, WebMCP, llms.txt), backlinks, local SEO, e-commerce, international SEO, Google APIs, and PDF/Excel reporting. 9 optional extensions for live SEO data.
Every project picked in an earlier digest, biggest growth first. “Then” is the total at our first pick’s metadata check; “now” is GitHub’s API star count checked . Growth measures attention, not quality or safety.
All 11 listing entries were inspected. Exact primary public GitHub repository metadata, README, recent releases and recent commits were checked for all 11 at about 07:01 UTC; all were active, unarchived and had an API-detected license.
Six entries had been featured in the previous seven days and were left out without a material change: makecindy/cindy, Nutlope/hallmark, pbakaus/impeccable and pollen-robotics/microduck (25 October), Renhuai123/ziwei-doushu (24 October) and cloudflare/security-audit-skill (21 October). Since those cards they show only small fixes, README edits, development builds or no commits at all.
debpalash/VoiceStudio is a repeat from 19 October, included because its 23-24 October prereleases changed a caveat we printed then (on-device phone models were only planned).
The preceding seven calendar dates, 19-25 October, were checked for local history; all seven editions exist.
The official listing was captured at 08:00:56 Europe/Paris. Literal stars-today labels are GitHub's displayed period figures; API total stars and README evidence were checked separately at the times shown per card. They are not an independently audited rolling 24-hour growth measurement.
Feature, performance and security claims are the maintainers' own. No candidate code, installer, plugin, hook or model was installed, downloaded or run, and none of this is a security audit, endorsement or financial advice.
Re-issued 26 Oct 2026, 10:07 at the reader's request to add the full listing and star tracking of earlier picks; the picks and their text are unchanged from the 08:03 issue.
