Drop fruit. Merge up. Pick your luck.

Fruit Drop is a physics merge game with a roguelike twist. Match two fruits to grow them up an 11-tier chain, and every few merges choose a blessing that changes how the run plays.

How it plays

Easy to learn, hard to stop

Every run takes a few minutes. The bin gets tighter with every drop, so every decision counts.

  1. Aim and drop

Drag sideways to line up the next fruit, then let go. Physics does the rest: fruit rolls, stacks, and settles.

  2. Merge up

Two matching fruits that touch become the next fruit up. Land merges less than half a second apart for a ×1.5 combo.

  3. Choose a blessing

At merge six the board freezes and offers three blessings. Pick one, and play on. Keep fruit under the line, or the run ends.

The fruit chain

Cherry to Watermelon in 11 tiers

Each merge grows the fruit and your score. The watermelon fills almost the whole bin, so making one takes planning.

  1. Cherry start
  2. Strawberry +1
  3. Grapes +3
  4. Lemon +6
  5. Tangerine +10
  6. Apple +15
  7. Pear +21
  8. Mango +28
  9. Pineapple +36
  10. Melon +45
  11. Watermelon +66
Only the 5 smallest fruits fall from the top. Two watermelons meet? Both vanish for +200 points.
The roguelike part

Seven blessings. Room for three.

Each draft deals three blessings at random. When your slots are full, taking a new one means giving one up, so no two runs build the same way.

Magnet

Matching fruits near each other pull together and merge.

Passive

Deep Bin

Lowers the lose line, so the bin holds one more layer.

Passive

Lucky Draw

The queue often drops fruit types already on the board.

Passive

Combo Master

Combos last longer and score harder.

Passive

Cleaver

Tap a fruit to split it into two smaller ones.

3 uses · +1 every 8 merges

Hammer

Tap a fruit to smash it out of the bin.

2 uses · +1 every 14 merges

Swap

Trade the fruit in your hand for the next one.

5 uses · +1 every 4 merges

Three slots. No more.

Passive blessings are always on. Active ones have charges that refill as you merge.

Balanced by bot

Every blessing had to earn its slot

A test bot played 20 runs with each blessing and compared them to runs with none. A blessing that scored worse than no blessing counted as a bug, not a trade-off.

The first Lucky Draw dropped bigger fruit. It sounded like a buff, but it filled the bin faster and scored below the baseline. Now it drops fruit you already have on the board, and it helps.

Score multiplier against a no-blessing baseline of 464 points. These are internal bot runs from development, not player data.

FAQ

Questions, answered

When can I play?

Fruit Drop is being prepared for the App Store, and there is no release date yet. Watch the GitHub repo to see the App Store link the day it goes live.

Which devices will it run on?

The first release is for iPhone. The whole game is played with one finger, so it works on any screen size.

How much will it cost?

Pricing will be announced with the App Store listing. The game includes optional in-app packs that add extra Cleaver, Hammer, and Swap uses. Every run is fully playable without buying anything.

How is it different from other fruit merge games?

Blessings. Every few merges the board freezes and you choose one of three power-ups, and you can hold only three at a time. Magnet pulls matches together, Cleaver splits a fruit, Deep Bin buys another layer. Each run ends up playing differently.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. Runs are played entirely on your phone. Only the optional item shop connects to the App Store.

What data does the app collect?

None. There is no account, analytics, or ad tracking. Your best score and item stock are saved on your device only. Read the privacy policy for details.

I found a bug or have an idea. Where do I send it?

Open an issue on GitHub or send an email. The support page has links to both.
